We will be assessed on our skills in teamwork and creative decision-making. We have been placed in teams or "production companies" depending on the effort made on the work set overtime.
As part of our overall media A-Level, A2 will be consisting of a one minute teaser trailer for a horror based genre. This will be done through personal and group development, research and team work. For this year, we will be choosing a concept to develop and turn into a real media production. We will be marked based on our team work skills and creative decision making. Our results will be a trailer, a movie magazine front cover and a poster. With this comes obstacles such as the meetings, the development stage, pre-production stage, the production stage and finally the post production.
Each of the teams are required to produce:
1. A Film Teaser Trailer suitable to be broadcasted on Youtube
2. A Film Poster to promote the film
3. A Film Magazine Front Cover featuring the film
4. Planning and Research material
5. Answer a Four Question Evaluation including:
- In what ways does your media production use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
- How effective is the combination of your main product and Ancillary texts?
- What have you learned from your audience feedback?
- How did you use media technologies in construction, research, planning and evaluation stages?
6. Log/Diary team meetings.
Despite working as a team, each and everyone of us holds different skills and characteristics that enables us to work together to create amazing final pieces.
